I was born in Germany (dad was military) and just over a year later we moved back to the States where I grew up on the east coast of Florida. I earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from The Citadel, joined the Air Force as a pilot, and then got my MBA from the University of Virginia. While in the Air Force, I flew C-21s (Learjets) and C-5s on active duty, and I currently fly the C-17 in the West Virginia Air National Guard.
I started at United on the Airbus in January 2019. COVID drove me to revisit my favorite part of my MBA, finance. I reached out to Alan via LinkedIn and started my financial advisor career at a regional firm in Virginia before joining United Wealth Management in early 2025. I have the Accredited Wealth Management AdvisorSM (AWMA®) designation from the College for Financial Planning and am currently studying for the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP®) exam. I focus on comprehensive financial planning exclusively for United pilots and fly the in the right seat of the 777, soon to be 787 out of DCA.
Charlottesville, Virginia is home. My wife, Meg and I have three children: Liam, Wyatt, and Madilyn, plus a miniature Australian Shepherd named Lacey, a cat named Connor, and a miniature horse named Bean.
I spend spare time at the gym, playing soccer, and taking the family off-roading, camping, or out on the water – tubing or water-skiing. The rest of our time goes to the kids' hobbies: pinewood derby cars, board games, and sports: mountain biking, soccer, tennis, and swimming.
